Since 1962 the Kutny family has been blending soil. First for their own Vancouver based landscaping business, then for the other landscapers who asked, “Where did you get that beautiful topsoil?”

For almost 60 years and three generations later, the family at Kutny’s Richmond Soils knows the importance of starting with a quality product then blending and screening it to produce the final product perfect for your growing needs.

For commercial landscapers as well as personal home-owners, Kutny’s Richmond Soils remains committed to providing high quality, lab tested, products and service at competitive pricing.

If you are new to our company, we welcome you to come to our yard, during business hours, take a look at our soil and even run your fingers through it if you wish! It is always good to know what you are buying before it’s delivered.

FAQ

How much topsoil do I need?

Measure, in feet, the area that you want to lay soil in. Measure the Length, the Width and the Depth. Be sure all your measurements are in “feet” then multiply them together and Divide your answer by 27, this equals Cubic Yards.
(L x W x D) divided by 27 = cubic yards.

Do I need to be home when you deliver the soil?

Yes, you need to be home to show our driver where to dump the topsoil and to pay the driver. Payment must be made at time of delivery (or earlier) by cash or cheque.

Can I have two different types of soil on the same delivery?

No.

How long in advance do I need to schedule a delivery?

We aim to make next day (24 hour) deliveries. The closer you are to us the easier it is to fit you into our schedule, however, if timing is crucial please give us several days notice.

Do I need to phone before going to your yard to pick-up soil?

No, you do not need to call. Come during business hours.

When picking up soil can I put it in bags that I bring with me or shovel it in my own truck?

No, you can’t put soil in bags in our yard or shovel your own soil. We must load your vehicle (truck or trailer) with our machinery, and minimum sale is one yard.
